I was going to ask for workable plans to bring lasting peace, or even short-term peace, to the Middle East. That was too depressing, so...

What'd everyone have for dinner?

carrots, sautéed mushrooms, green salad (lettuce in the garden was about to bolt), and homemade mac and cheese. i feel vile now. i think it was the mac and cheese. i'm going to have to cut out the dairy again, i can tell.

If you skipped the hardboiled egg, you could have eaten our rice and dal, with cucumber salad and mangoes.

I turned down an offer to go to a nice restaurant due to my finger laceration. Darn! But I didn't want to ask Kyle to cut up my food in public. We had take out chicken and fries.

Wow. I have no pride; the only thing that keeps me out of good restaurants (besides my hyper son) is incipient headache. (Possibly i have pride but it's overruled by desperation.

It was not just pride, though. Beyond incipient finger-ache. I might have been able to order one-handed food.

Well, I thought Kit had fixed himself food when I saw him get two mini naan breads. So i had fried eggs on toast.

Then I discovered that that was a snack, so I made us some cheese and tomato filled pasta (tortelini?) where made is better defined as "dunked in a pan, stirred a little, drained an hour or so later.

Something like that, yep. We were eating off the same plate though, which makes it easier to adopt eating slowly and letting him eat twice as much as me ;-)

That sounds delicious.

I think you should start lacing your MIB food with laxatives, though.

I chopped up a bunch of onions, celery, a bell pepper and garlic and tossed it all with hard boiled eggs and mayo.

I'm a peasant ... on a low carb diet.
