I am so exhausted right now, largely because I am holding down not one, not two, but three jobs. Yes, that's right. I'm a medical interpreter (FT job), an adjunct professor of translation & interpretation, and also a freelance translator.

it's been great. i leave geneva tomorrow. first to ireland (dublin for 3 days), then to miami (woo wedding!) and finally back to california.

thank you europe for taking care of me. thank you world, for letting me glimpse your secrets.

Live and work in Europe. Get my master’s. Work for a UN agency.

In Geneva, fellowship winding to a close. Have travelled to: Germany, France, Italy.

Now trying to figure out what to do once all this is over.

So much has happened since I last posted. Our research has mostly ended, and we're working on our final report. However, right now, I am sick though back in Kunming, China.

Still in Lijiang on unreliable internet. The Asus service center here basically replaced my entire harddrive, and reinstalled Windows 7 for me... in Chinese. =____= At least I mostly understand wtf is going on. I'm going to have to reinstall it in English when I return to the US. Seriously. Fuck my life ( Read more... )

In Lijiang, on my partner's computer because my computer died. fml. Sent it to the repair shop. Hopefully it will work.
