In typical Chinese style, I was told a few hours ago that I have all of next week off, so in typical desperate foreign traveler style, I packed my bags and after class I'm headed to the train station.

Finally, I get to go to Beijing! I've been there 5 times, but only to the airport ..... be back Wednesday!!!

I found black beans and vanilla incense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My life over here is now complete .... hehe.

The store I usually go to started carrying imported products, and their selection is amazing. I even found pesto and minced garlic. But black beans ... NO ONE has black beans. Oh, so excited!!!

Back from the Festival. Had a great time with my friends, but the festival was annoyingly commercialized. Ah, what can you expect. Here's a picture of one of the monks performing some Shaolin Kung Fu. All the pictures are on Shutterfly now.
