Wow, after about a week I finally finished the masterpiece known as The Count of Monte Cristo, about 1000 pages of pure enjoyment. Never had a book had such a profound effect on me; I was utterly amazed at how quickly the time passes when I read it and found it to be strangely accessible for a book that was written over a hundred years ago ( ( Read more... )

Agreed the new Opeth album sounds like mouldy ass, but eh hopefully they won't perform too much of it at the show. Oh btw Gankutsuo has only just recieved a western release over here. I agree it is a great take on The Count of Monte Cristo and this is surprising as usually the Japanese butcher anything western and likewise for the west.

The Musketeers by Dumas' is pretty good too.

I have been going back trying to fill in my classics between other reading. Just finished Brave New World by Huxley, also fantastic.
