Well, a ticket to Moscow is about $300. One way. That is $600 to go there and back. I guess I'll have to borrow... Return tickets are available on December 29th and January 4th. The first date is too early ($600 just to go there and right back?!) and the other is too late... The good news is that I have a free place to stay - my mom's college

if you take round ticket is will be cheaper than just twice the usual price one way. I don't know which airlines fly to your town ('Siberia'?) but many have considerable discounts if you're under 25 (and you are, aren't you? :) )

There are other possibilities to pay less, check that with your company: say, it depends on the the day of the week (usually flying on saturday or sunday is cheaper)

Nah, here it's a set price. I do get a discount for being under 25, otherwise a ticket is $400, and it doesn't matter if you take round trip or one way if you get the discount. Prices in different agencies may vary by $10-15, but nothing significant. We live on an island, and we don't have any other options, so airlines make big money on us :))

I think sometimes companies shoot themselves in the foot by holding on too tightly to things. If your maps are shared more and become well-known, then you get a bigger reputation and more business. But nobody in management seems to be able to think that far ahead.

Lots of big fights are going on for the oil on our island, so the companies struggle to keep as much information to themselves as possible. Why would they care for my personal reputation... :)) And they taught me to make maps and sent me to trainings, so I'm going to be faithful to them for now.
