i'm an emotionally and intellectually impatient person. despite my shrug-i-don't-care-about-fuck-all-i-want-to-get-this-over-with exterior, however, i'm actually not one to cope very well with endings. books, films, tv serials, games -- i dread the moment when i realize that they've come to their denouement and there's no turning back

I know what you mean. I feel similar, and I find myself manufacturing excuse after excuse to avoid dealing with "the real world" but at the end (gasp) of it all there's no escaping doing what "i have to do."

i want to time travel back to when i was two years old. haha.
