I'm going to make it tomorrow I'll let you know how it turns out. I'd die if I was allergic to dairy and eggs. Throw in wheat and sugar and I'd be in my own personal hell ;)
Here's a recipe for basic cookies, where you get to add in all of the goodies you want. The cookies are soft & chewy and very awesome.
1 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 eggs 2.5 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 2 cups whatever goodies you like
Cream butter & sugars. Beat in vanilla & eggs, one at a time. Combine dry ingredients, add to wet, then add in goodies. Drop on ungreased cookie sheets and bake for 8-10mins.
PS: For an even chewier cookie, I sometimes substitute some maple syrup for some of the sugar. Use 3/4 cup maple syrup for every cup of sugar, but decrease the total liquid of the recipe by 3 tbsp for every cup!

I'm making the batter tonight and refridgerate them until tomorrow so I'll let you know how they turn out. I was surprised that they contain baking soda instead of powder, usually you only use soda for an extra kick with acidic ingredients... Anyway, because I'm keeping them overnight I'm going to use powder and I'll let you know how it turns out :D
