I'm sorry you're feeling hopeless. That feeling really sucks. My two cents is that you have a right and it's not unreasonable to write both of them out of your life. I learned years ago from an old mutual friend of ours that you can't sacrifice your happiness or well-being to maintain the relationship(s) that make you unhappy, whether it be friends or significant others. You have a rational reason to be hurt and even if she had nothing or little to do with his intransigence to you, she reminds you of it and that's justification enough to stop seeing her, at least for a few months. I don't think you should feel guilty either.

I just randomly decided to check LiveJournal; I'm glad I did. :)

Haha old LJ. I'm glad I saw your comment too! (I don't even check the email address this is registered to anymore)

The reality of the situation is that everyone (non-Japanese English teachers) knows everyone. They just happened to become better friends in the last couple months (since my birthday, ugh). So even if I tried to write them both out, each of my friends are friends with one or both of them. I've basically taken to meeting with other people.. Not gonna lie, it's been difficult.
