I've got this damn tea assortment in my drawer, and even though I often drink multiple cups a day, it's taken me nearly 2 WEEKS to get to the last one

I don't know. Um, usually if there's something I love more than other varieties, I'll buy all my teas (whathaveyou, etc.) in that favorite variety. Then I don't have to decide whether to use it first or save the best for last. In general, though, I guess at a meal I would save my favorite stuff (at least a few bites) for last so it's the final thing I remember. Duh?
I try to save out what I really like for the last part, so that I have a satisfying cap to whatever I'm eating/drinking. Having that last bite/swallow and making a face afterward is a rotten way to walk away from a meal.
Good luck on the weather biz... I'm sure we can get all kinds of weird YouTubes out of that one.
I used to find tea to be debilitatingly bland and blasé. Not to mention the lesser caffeine count made it almost frivolous. I was a die-hard coffee drinker.
A number of years ago, I contracted a kidney infection that ultimately landed me in the hospital for a week. I was all sooped up on morphine when my doctor walked into the room for the first time to examine my charts. He flipped through the pages, stopped, and looked over his glasses at me.
"How much coffee do you drink?" He asked.
I shrugged. "Oh, I don't know, 8, 12 cups a day? I mean, I work in a coffee house, doc."
"Nope, not anymore," he replied. "You can't drink coffee anymore."
Maybe it was the morphine but I just about died in that moment. "No more coffee?" I shrieked. "What am I supposed to drink, then?"
Kudos on the little e thing--Waltzing 'tilde'? J/K--nice diacritical marksmanship.
Although I suppose the more impressive feat is your active recall while on narcotics! Talk about addictions vs. prescriptions.
Wow--12 cups. Um, that's severe! *pulls out calculator* If a cup is around 8 oz, I'm more than a little mind-boggled by a girl your size stuffed full of upwards of 6 pounds of coffee--just percolating away.
I guess tea is roughly 1/2 as strong as coffee in terms of caffeine content. And the green tea, which I frequent, can be half as strong as that (although that depends on a LOT of things). And, a common side-effect of drinking tea for me is often a real mild grade romanticism of whatever culture's martial arts movie I last watched. There may be mental posturing involved as well... Bring on the Chanoyu!
I'm new to this sooo....verbalbliss24March 31 2008, 15:16:47 UTC
I'm not finding where I can just message you (if that's even an option) to answer your questions about my entry. I guess I will just reply to it and it will be under my entry. :)

"Try tea," he said, and that was it.
