So Charlie had his 2 month check-up yesterday. He is now 10 lbs, 6 ozs and 22 inches long. That means he is in the 25% for both height and weight. He is not a huge baby but he is big compared to then he was born ( Read more... )

I managed to read one final book before the end of 2007. I started reading as I try to get Charlie to sleep. Often he will sleep as I rock him and then wake up if I move him. This time is the only time I seem to be able to read. So the last book I read in 2007 was Sour Puss by Rita Mae Brown & Sneaky Pie Brown. The book was fun. I like these ( Read more... )

So I have been having contractions since Friday November 9. Call them false labor, Braxton Hicks, whatever you want, me I will call them painful. They were so bad that on Friday the 9th I went to the hospital and was sent home. Then that Wednesday (the 14th) I went to my doctor in tears. So yesterday I finished Shopaholic & Baby by Sophie Kinsella. This is the 5th book in the Shopaholic series. When it came out I wanted to read it, but in my usual fashion it took some time before I did. I just finished Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception by Eoin Colfer. I liked it, just like I have liked all the prior Artemis Fowl books. This one, however, did take me quite some time to read. Last night before bed I finished book 25 for the year, The Millionaires by Brad Meltzer. I had approximately 80 pages yesterday and I just had to finish the book. It was a typical thriller in the Grisham sense of the word (but it was better tehn the recent Grisham novels). I enjoyed it. I bought it a few years ago for around $5 when I saw it on ( Read more... )
