My parents had a small gathering of maybe 20 people yesterday under the guise of a birthday party for my dad but it was really just an adults' excuse to go over to someone`s house, eat and giggle amongst friends. Not that it`s a bad thing. I could see that my dad was ecstatic to have so many Japanese people in the house.

I just finished watching this movie. The pair of sincere lovers I watched kill themselves, long before they could taste the suffering luxury of a long and peaceful life together, was beautiful. I thought I would cry but I didn`t.
