I just stumbled upon this today and thought I'd share, and try to persuade you to try it too ;)

Jason and I plan to start the the hundred push ups training program next week and thought some of you may want to join me. In 6 weeks, we should be able to do 100 push ups in a row ( Read more... )

Yay!

I think we'll start then too or maybe Sunday. I want to alternate running with strength training and really work on my core.

I just did the test and eeked out 4 real push ups. I guess the strength training I have done so far is showing :)

I'm "running" on the elliptical rider. But for some reason, my cardio status is not improving much.

I tried it again and I can do 2-3, but I can't come all the way to the ground or I can't lift myself back up. I come pretty close, so maybe I'll try it for day 1 and see how it goes. I can do 8-10 girl push ups.

With crunches I think I'd start at column 3 because I can easily do 10+

I'll totally join! It'll probably be on the easier side for me, since I can do 20 easily right now (real ones) and usually do about 15 in a row with my feet propped up on my bed, but from 20 to 100 is still \0/

Wow, I am so jealous. But I really haven't been doing any upper body training in a while and the little I did before was kickboxing and weights for a few minutes before I started running.

I do sound like a freak with the 'I can do push-ups!' but I did synchronized skating for many years, and we have to be able to keep our arms up perfectly straight for over 5 minutes since we hold the other girl's shoulders without pressing our weight on them. And since we have to be able to hold them up in case they fall, our coach made us suffer to build strenght in our arms.

Plus, where I went to high school? They didn't believe in girl push-ups, lol.

Wow! That makes sense though.

I think that's the problem. I was not a very active child, so I am getting a late start on all this athletic stuff.

Yes, yes and yes! My second fitness goal (after running races) is to do 10-15 overhand pull-ups... I have my reasons!... but this definitely can't hurt the pull-up goal. Thanks for posting this!

Awesome! I'm glad to see others joining in. It will be so much easier if I know others are struggle through it too. It gives us a little competition :)

Awesome! We got quite the group going here. This will be great.

If you can do at least 10, then you are in the highest column, so you are good to go! I think I am going to start on column 1 with real push ups and if I can't do that I'll do the next level up with girl push ups.
