I spent closer to two hours than one standing in line at the fabric store today. I found this experience unrewarding. On the other hand, I now have a tablecloth. It's a pretty good sort of deep purple that looks a lot better here than it did in the store ( Read more... )

I'm glad that you got a tablecloth. I was thinking red, but purple is probably a delightful alternative.

I was thinking red too, but the fabric store only had two reds in anything heavy enough for a tablecloth, and they were shitty reds. This, on the other hand, is a nice deep purple, and purple is one of the colors of my house even if it's not one I wear often. And it looks good with the spiderwebs.
