Kaoru wasn’t easy to carry. Megumi hadn’t time to do anything about his back, and hugging her to his chest was causing the blistered skin to pull and tug painfully. This scene goes much longer, if you're wondering about the somewhat abrupt ending; but it's going to be long enough that I have to break it in half anyway, and as I'm having difficulty with the next part I thought I'd break it here.

And I am very sorry for such a long break! If you've been following my own LJ you'll probably have some clue as to why (my muse went bye bye for a good long time). I suspect that due to the long break this writing could stand to be a bit more polished...

...but it had been so long, I wanted to put something up. Running off to work on Part 2. now. ^^

Haha.. gotta love the pace here.. and Misao.. underestimating/not noticing her isn't something that ED 1 should do.. but then, is that who i think it is on the walls? Nice work with the ambiguous and sadly abrupt ending.
