It is Finished!
I have finally finished my bow. I shall be taking a picture of it to show you all soon, but for now you'll just have to trust me that it's awesome. I'm tempted to try stringing it now, but I want to wait a bit more and let the adhesive form a stronger bond, just in case the leather has the chance of coming loose. I'm almost done with my bow. I've put the bamboo backing on it, and now I just need to trim the bamboo and wrap it in leather. -
Resolution
I decided to make a resolution after all. I want to try to spend more time with friends and family. -

Update on recurving: I recurved my longbow more, and nearly destroyed it in doing so. The curve on the top limb started to crack and splinter, which freaked me out, but then I realized it was because it needed more sanding. A few minutes and a piece of sandpaper later and I think I've fixed it. Still, I'm going to make sure to double wrap that ( Read more... ) -

Here's that list of stuff for any sort of emergency situation. It can be modified to suit particular circumstances, with things added and subtracted. A lot of things wouldn't be needed if you, for instance, had a house.
