On this day, the 20th of June 1915, Eusevio Zalriva was born in Long Beach, California. 29 years later he was killed in action piloting a Higgins Boat towards Omaha Beach, Normandy.
It was his 3rd trip to the shore...
I have his picture on my desk, and his pocketknife is in my pocket daily.
