I just watched Jesus Camp. It's frightening,and I highly recommend it. It features Ted Haggard before his gay drug addict scandal, as well as the most brainwashed children under 10 that I've ever seen, which will so clearly be committing hate crimes before they're even legally adults.

Then again, they could turn into me. After all, I did. I would love to see followups on those kids 10, 15, 20 years out.

There's this one kid where it's clear he doesn't believe - he doesn't have the capacity to believe something with no proof. He's trying so, so hard to believe, and studying all those 'answers about God for kids' books. It's so, so sad. I would also love to see follow-ups.

Why? the Atheist vote is horrifically divided. I don't think it's significantly sectioned off from the non-insane christian vote.

I've got to see this, though it will depress the living hell out of me.

I'm so disturbed by that girl towards the end with tears that brim and pour down her cheeks. They are CHILDREN, and it is so easy to plant the seed of fear and attachment in them... it happened to me, and I remember all the hysteria. I remember those same brimming tears. Awful.

Did you see it here in Van.? Are you back here? We should have a coffee, or go to the beach, or have a coffee at the beach.

I am returned, and would love to have a coffee-related social time. I will be going to Regina (woo,) on the 21st, and get to chauffeur foreigners around for the next few days, so when I've returned would be better for me. I get back on the 27th.

Oh, and I rented the movie from my local Happy Bat, so I think that store on the drive would also have it.
