I heard a good quote this past weekend and I shared it with someone whom I don't think really got the whole thing, so I'll share it here and see what develops;

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." - Mahatma Ghandi.

It's something to think about, although it's also good to make sure you aren't making your own social struggles into something bigger than they really are.
