Warning: Nomadic Tendencies kicking in...
So tomorrow morning we board a train to Chicago, then a flight to Anchorage. Then I'm in Alaska for the week visiting family and meeting my sister's new boyfriend. Lakes will be played in, birthdays celebrated. 'Twill be fun. There will be pictures.
In other news, still no update or decision on what happens once I graduate.

I am not the type of girl who sits at home waiting for a guy to call. In fact, I don't sit at home waiting for anyone to call. I simply don't believe in it. This is why I have a cell phone, not a land line. If you've got the energy to go out, and live in a city where there are people to see and things to do, then there's no good reason to stay in. Summer doesn't really feel as though it has begun, because I've been working so much. When I picked up Kat and Raf from the airport last night, Kat asked me how my summer has been. I only had two things: work and moving. And ok, I have been to two concerts, but still. No beach? No picnics? It's not truly summer yet.

So the year has ended, I am working and saying goodbye to many dear friends before they are all scattered like dandelion seeds.
Next up on the agenda:
1. Moving to the new house.
2. Starting the research project.
3. Sifting through graduate programs.
4. Picking a country to travel to/study in.
5. Applying for Fulbright grants.

The other night I had a dream in which I walked to the corner store, and had to buy purple skittles for my show, IN SPANISH. There were plum skittles, and I even pondered buying purple M&M's (do they even exist?) I ended up buying 3 huge bags of skittles ( Read more... ) -

England is beautiful. Rainy, misty, dirty. There is a part of my soul which is quite soothed by these wild winds and cold people. Men in woolen overcoats and women in drab clothing, babies so bundled they can barely move, nearly being run over by the traffic coming from the left, millions of languages sitting next to you on the subway, kebabs from ( Read more... ) -

I really don't have much time at all for anything, even though I'm not as stressed and tired and sick as I normally am around this time of year. This worries me, because then I start to wonder if I'm forgetting anything.
