To obey those placed in authority I can't always respect this one. I guess considering the code and the times it was perfect. No mutiny, falling in line... etc. But these days, some of those placed in authority are idiots.

Never to turn the back upon a foe Physically a good idea, but at the same time, needless fighting is sometimes needless.
I'm not spiritual enough for Christianity or most other religions, I think they are interesting and have studied many of them, I try to live by a modernized version of this that's a bit more open to bending and can be changed a bit to fit the times. At least for me chivalry is still alive. I'm all about the open door, pull out chair and the more intense parts of chivalry.
