This was so wonderful! You obviously spent a lot of time on it, and it shows! I love how you captured their sense of playfulness. And that angst lover in me adores the bit about the spacesuit from Krop Tor with the reference to the Waters of Mars.

I'm glad you enjoyed both sides - the playfulness and that touch of angst. I wasn't sure if I'd get flack for the WoM part, as it does twist the knife, a bit. I very nearly posted the Krop Tor note (had planned to do, at first), but felt like it was stronger if I let it remain a mystery.

This took me weeks of chipping away at it, a little at a time - but I really had so much fun making this. I have so many little bits and bobs that I didn't use ... outtake notes. ;)

Yeah, sorry about that. Once I got the idea, I knew there was no going back from it.

All I can say is, be glad I didn't post the open note (which I did make, and had planned to post, at first) - I was going for maximum ouch. I decided it would be stronger, ultimately, if I just let what Rose said to him be a mystery.
