Ha, I was totally thinking that EXACT same thing this morning. You and I are almost like polar opposites on most of our music tastes (although I'm trying, slowly, to expand my JRock repertoire), and yet we both adore Laruku. You're right--I think it speaks to their versatility as well as to how well-written their music is. No other band has ever held my interest for as many re-listens as they have. They attract a wide range and keep them there. Ah, yet more evidence for the case that they're t3h 4w350m3.

Exactly--I've heard each of their songs multiple hundreds of times if I've heard them once, and yet there are still times where I'm all, "Wow, I never noticed how cool that second guitar part is". It's totally mind-blowing how their stuff can stand up like that.

OMG SRSLY?! LOL...I totally understand--icons are for cuteness just as much as expressiveness. ^-^ (And, um, ditto on my "smile and nod"-ing XD)
