Trailer and fic recs
The Far Cry trailer is up!
I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up going to this movie because A.) shoot 'em up/blow it up action movies are my thing and B.) EV's character doesn't appear to have died in the explosion at the beginning and it looks like we'll get to see some (hopefully lots) of ass kicking on her part. <3!
Fanfiction love meme! I've gone through and responded to as many authors as I could recognize - or at least those who have fic in fandoms I know, to give them love throughout the day. I am awful about leaving comments when I read fic (a bad side effect of putting most of my favorite ff comms in my RSS feed reader, I'm afraid), so I'm trying to give as much love this way as possible.
In the process, I've been finding amazing fic I hadn't realized I'd missed:
& thanks to this artifice we manage to endure by eudaimon- Criminal Minds. Reid/Hotch/Prentiss. Totally not work safe. It's only a bottle of wine; she has no idea how it ended up like this. Love this. It's sweet, funny, in-character.
Sun in the Quiet of Your Twilit Mind by gnimaerd - CSI:NY. Lindsay/Stella. PG. There is no one who is more New York than Stella Bonasera. [pre-series three] OMG. This is amazingly beautiful.
Better than Paperwork by curia_regis - Keeping up Appearances (YES - KUA has a fandom, how did I now know?)/Primeval. A dodo appears in Hyacinth's living room. Connor and Abby are sent to investigate. I have never watched Primeval, so I'm not certain how true this is to that but OMG. Hyacinth is so Hyacinth this could have been a scene from the show.
Patience and Fortitude by kcountess/knitwitfics - Two things get him through the night. I think I may have recced this before, but I also could have sworn I'd commented on it before now so maybe not. Regardless, if I did it deserves to be recced twice. It's that awesome.
