One day weekend
It's not working Saturdays that I mind so much, but only having one day before going right back to work. So much stuff I "should" be doing right now. Laundry. Dishes. Cooking. Vacuuming. Mowing the lawn. I'm going to sit here and read a book. Plan on putting in another 50 hours next week. I don't have to, but we need the money too much. There are ( Read more... ) -

the story about the toast
Oh yes, and so as a result of all the intestinal unhappiness, we've been eating a lot of toast. I almost never buy normal sliced bread because I either 1.) make my own or 2.) use hamburger buns. But at the store last week T.C. insisted we get a normal loaf of whole wheat and we did. And it is almost gone because we've been eating toast like it's ( Read more... ) -
There's a germ convention in my immune system and everyone was invited.
Today is our 9th anniversary. Fortunately J.T.'s mom came down kind of at the last minute to watch the kid for a few hours so we could go out to dinner. It was 78 degrees and sunny. On March 14th in Ohio. We had a nice sushi dinner and both were healthy enough to enjoy it, even though it still sounds like a TB ward at our house ( Read more... ) -

Arroz con pollo
When will I learn? Just because I spent a year or more making a recipe from memory once a week doesn't mean that after 9 months of not making it I will be able to remember it without writing it down. changing of the fruit
I thought T.C. was going to flip out when peach season was over but no, he has been devouring apples like it's the end of the world this week. They've had some simply amazing honeycrisp apples at the store and he chows down on them like nobody's business.
