Here we are. The last full day of fasting. At this point, not even really hungry, just desperate for flavor of any kind. Not eating anything until ten pm tonight, then the eight day is a partial fast day. I'll allow myself some skim milk and rice- salt, no butter. After that, I can eat whatever I want. nothing to report.  glad fast is nearly over.

Day 5- 
Things are better overall.  Starting to think I can actually do this. Starting to get bummed about missing parties and social activites, since I can't really participate.  Oh well.

Finished work early, so no work tomorrow.  Yay.

Day 4-

Woke up this afternoon at 2.00, so weak I lay in bed for an hour, difficult to move.  Came very close to blacking out last night after getting up too fast, and came as close as I have so far to throwing in the towel, going to the red arrow and eating something that would probably make me poop myself to death.

Feel really wrung out.  Tired, occasionally faint, with intermittent shaking and tingling sensations in my hands and feet.  Began administration of potassium gluconate 396mg daily in addition to multivitamin to decrease likelihood of re-feeding syndrome and muscle cramps.  Nearing 3-4 day barrier before body fat begins to metabolize, ( Read more... )
