A month with no rain, and 46 inches later, the pond has finally died. Mia and I watched fish float up, one by one...
Distended fish bellies and flies. I can still taste and smell its death. I've deserted the house a few times last few days in an attempt to forget.

I arrived early only to realize that Barnes & Noble was packed. I received a violet pass with an explanation that there were probably about 200 people ahead of me with their gold, green, blue, red, magenta, etc. passes.
