LOL You are on a philosophical tear eh? Then again you know I already agree with pretty much everything you have there. Granted it's not always possible to follow your own path everytime but little detours aren't a bad thing. Sorry about this evening hunny, but I know you weren't alone. Sunday for sure!

My mother used to tell me "Happy people don't make other people unhappy." Perhaps an oversimplification, but there is an undeniable truth in her words.Such true words. I will have to add that sometimes, it is when we find out that something we do benefits not just ourselves but other people around us that we are happy ( ... )

The node at which all of you are pointing is this: identification with thought forms of happiness and as Thomas Jefferson says "the pursuit of happiness" ultimately leads only to the thought forms of happiness: not happiness itself. Pursuing happiness can never bring it to you because it assumes
  1. happiness is something I can have/not have.
  2. Happiness is a singular object that is trackable
  3. That you are not happy now: else why pursue it?
All of these assumptions are entirely false. All you need to be happy is here now. Happiness is not something you have or don't have, it is something you are you will never find happiness if you look for it, because you are that which you seek. Instead of changing what you do change how. If I want a vacation this year I have to work 10hrs a day from now until the day I leave. I can do that with fatigue, anxiety, and bitterness and call it a tool of "da man" just so he can be on vacation all the time, or I can do the same thing with awareness of the happiness that I am, and see the opportunities I have to ( ... )
