That's exactly what happened to me. I left a job that I had done and done very well for 10 years for the type of job well, i'm just no good at. So after the last two years of floating around in three different jobs i'm about to start another on Tuesday doing what i was before. I would also rather be excellent at what i do than miserable. i wish you the best of luck with this.

Excellent idea!! Happiness at your job is soooooo important and if you have made the decision to leave The Pit Of Despair, you might as well do what feels good in the interim.
