Good luck, man. I'm rooting for you!

Oh, I wish I could survive in L.A. working part time.

I need a sugar mama. Or, you know, just a girlfriend with a decent job.

Why can't you just find a cute stripper to date?

That's the million-dollar question, really.

I don't like fake boobs, though, so that narrows down my field of applicants.

i'm having the feeling too - where i'm 33 and digging what i'm doing b/c it has minimal responsibility but wondering how long i can go before it gets weird that i don't have "director" or at the very least "senior" in my title.

but i don't really *want* either of those things is the problem.

Yeah, I just want to stay right where I am (daytime assistant editor) and work on my writing. I don't want to move back down to nights if I don't have to (and I don't have to yet), and I don't want to move up to lead assistant editor because they get all sorts of responsibility that involves dealing with power-mad drama queens and putting in extra time.

Not to mention the other extra time you have to put in if you want to get promoted again to editor and get the fuck out of that thankless shit job. Well, good-paying shit job, but thankless nonetheless.

I'll keep that in mind. I honestly haven't updated my resume in a few years cause I haven't had to, and I know that TV-biz resumes tend to have specific formats for specific jobs. Which I'll have to ask some friends about.
