You really owe yourself watching this anime feature: Mind Game. I am, and have been, hands down worshipping it on the ground and spitting out crazed chants like I'm a crazy person. With no intention to exaggerate, it is the most perfect anime I have ever seen. Not only does it have everything a good anime should have ( Read more... )

I'll just whisper that I'm a North Korean spy and they'll let me stay here.lol. I might add 'I love our dear leader' in the end and I might get that coveted dear leader badge.

Hey Zenny Boy.

I read about that documentary. So did she get home, or was she killed after they finished using her as a translatory culture sort of person??

What was the twist at the end??

Let's say, theoretically, that I wanted to watch said anime. Where might I find it?

Just for you, Norm, I yahoo'ed it (I'm phasing Google out of my life, very slowly) and found out that it came out in 2004 and was shown at the New York Film Festival in 2005. However, I couldn't find it on Amazon so maybe it didn't get a general release?

It's worth a try at your local video store though, you never know. I will pay you back the money you spend on it if you don't like it. =)

Fuck, I've build this up way too much.

Saw Mind Game awhile ago. Liked it. I don't remember much of it though, so I guess it's time to see it again.
Another anime I saw not too long ago that I really liked is Robot Carnival. It's got humour, neat animation and plenty of weirdness. And on top of that, robots ^^ Just the intro really cracks me up with its great big celebration of destruction. It's followed by a number of shorts in a variety styles all centering around robots in some way but all very different.

Where did you see it, Pontus! Maybe you can help Norm locate it. And when's your visa getting ready?
