It was my birthday yesterday, which gave me the startling realization that I am 2 years away from being thirty. That, combined with the number of friends I have who just had babies, is making me think I'm now a full fledged adult. Well, that and the fact that I was unpacking my china place settings into an actual china cabinet last night. Weird.

So we finally gave in and bought a new lawn mower, which is nice because we no longer have to borrow one from the neighboors. I'm still pissed that it cost 60-100 dollars to repair a $110 dollar mower that only worked five or six times before deciding to die, making it a better idea to just go out and buy a better one. I will not pay 1,100 to 1,200 dollars for a plain wood driveway gate. It would be two five foot panels, hinges, and labor. If you charge more than 200 dollars per ten feet of fence I don't see how you could stay in business, which means 1,000 dollars of that is labor, and I already have posts in place ( Read more... )
