The trench coat I ordered for my mission came in the mail today. I'm tempted to put it on and go walking after dark and see how many people call the cops on me. My parents, however, informed me that being arrested right before I leave is probably not a good thing. I'll just have to wait till I get back.

This is the end! In nine days I report to the MTC and begin my life as a missionary. After a couple months I'll fly to Boston, Massachusetts where I'll be serving for two years.

Did you know that there are many ways to tie a tie? In my life I've learned three, and quite unintentionally.

Today it suddenly occurred to me how awkward going to the bathroom must be for a woman wearing a large dress.

I arrived at the DMV this morning at 7:00 AM hoping to beat the rush; even at this hour, however, there were two people in front of me. The workers, which were supposed to have the office opened at 7:00, had not yet arrived, so I (and the quickly growing line) waited outside in the cold of the morning. I reluctantly covered a shift tonight for a girl who suffers from a unknown disease every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. I stopped by the "express dmv" by my house today to see about getting my license extended. What I found, however, was not a  pleasant, organized office, but a killing field, littered with bodies.
