Zander is standing at a certain edge of the lake, one of the parts where the surface isn't frozen. He wants to go swimming, and he scrutinizes the water for a moment before casting a warming charm on himself, and tries to warm the water too. He strips off his shirt, shivering despite his spell, and starts to wade in.

Zander rubs his bare arms and shakes himself out for a moment before wading in deeper, casting another warming spell. It's so cold, he can hardly breathe.
