I got into UNC! Which is good, since we moved down here for that purpose. I now have 7 schools to choose from, with about 3 having any kind of realistic shot, depending on the aid packages they draw up. I'm crossing my fingers for a financial aid jackpot...

So, it seems that I've been reduced to updating once a month, which is ridiculous. I shall do my best to remedy this, but I make no promises. Holy cow, it's been about a million years since I've updated. The holiday season in the retail world has been as lovely as ever with increased business and rude customers who expect everything to revolve around themselves. So I am currently enjoying the 2nd of what I am afraid will become a rare phenomenon known as "two straight days off," what with the craziness of the holiday shopping season upon us. But, I thought I should share a story from work on Monday.

So, another presidential election has passed us by and this one, while close, has given us 4 more years of George W. Bush. As much as this may be characterized as the coming of the apocalypse for some people, I think things will turn out fine. After experiencing the joy of awaking at 4AM in order to make my way to work by 5, I would have to recommend avoiding the practice if it can be helped. The weirdest aspect of it all was leaving at 1:30 PM and realizing that I had the rest of the day to do whatever I wanted (sleep, sleep, sleep).
