Say NO to Bullying - Andrea, her Mitch drabble, and Me
I NEVER expect my second journal will be something like this.

Several days ago I received a VERY NASTY message from Andrea (grieving_pln) accusing me to be a fraud and loser. At the same time she said there are readers there (at least five of them, with number increasing by the day) who want to ( Read more... )

I have to pat you on the back, and compliment you for having the nerve to actually write this. If you would have been the same as the rest of us. you probably would have buried your head, and felt like leaving the fandom. When I had somebody slam me, I DID leave for a short time. I was humiliated and embarrassed, even though nobody knew about it. I also know of a few similar situations such as mine. I know a few people have commented that when this happens to someone, we should post something "BIG" in our journal, stating their name and what they said. (An eye of an eye-that is "My" comment) AND just look at you. I congratulate you for standing up for yourself ( ... )

Thank you Cat!

Obviously I am not the first one she bullied.

The other day I passed my son's classroom and I saw a big sign 'SAY NO TO BULLYING'.

That's what I did here, I say NO to her bullying. I did this because I want to set up a good example for my son. :)

I also wanted to tell you that somebody slammed me so hard, said awful things to me, to the point that I could not even write anymore. Thus sits my first story with 3 chapters.

Hug hug...Cat, I am sorry that happened to you.

I think you need to be strong and do not let anyone bully you, no matter if it is a reader or writer.

I am going to write a mini-serial about homosexuality and China, and I can promise you right now I won't let anyone bully me off.

I am so sorry for your experience. To call someone a loser is totally unacceptable under any circumstances.

Welcome to the community, Hua. I don't know all the facts behind all of this but I will say that I am not at all a MO Ennis reader. For myself, it's Jack and Ennis, Ennis and Jack, or nothing at all. They are and always will be Brokeback for me.

Anyway, I just wanted to offer support and regret over such an unfortunate occurance. I am so sorry.

Respectfully yours,
Mary (Lv2walk)

Thank you Mary - now I know your name :)

I am not against post-canon, I actually enjoy some well-written ones.

But it is SO wrong to call a reader names and bully him/her.

Yes, you have read my stories! I knew I recognized your name.

I just can't bring myself to read post-canon. **sigh**.

Anyway, hope your weekend is going well. We are freezing and still surrounded by snow. I am so ready for spring.

Welcome to Florida!

It is nice and sunny down here, and I am going swimming (in a heated pool) tomorrow. :)

Hi Lureen,

You know first hand that I leave tough comments, don't you?

And guess what? I believe tough comments make stories better.

In China we say the grinding process makes the knife sharp.

You are quite right, Lureen, I reserve my toughest comments for you! LOL!

I was really pretty gentle with g_p, treating her like a three-year-old. But I do have to tell her that the sand castle she built is not Buckingham Palace.

g_p threw such a huge temper tantrum after that, resorted to the ugly tricks of name calling and bullying. If that's the way she treats people in real world, then she deserves the hard life she lives.

bbm-citygirl is an author and she doesn't buy g_p's fantasy world either.

In g_p's world, anyone who doesn't like her story has to be, and can only be bbm-citygirl.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been under this sort of nasty, furtive pressure.

Just as no fan has the right to try to stop an author from posting, no author should secretly try to shut a poster down. Especially since authors can chose to screen comments, not allow comments or even delete comments.

Rock on, Hua.

This is probably not the right place for this... BUT... congratulations on your story being published, and I am just waiting for the release!

It is NOT easy, but it is not that hard either because I want to set up a good example for my son.

SAY NO TO BULLYING.

Simple message:)
