I loved this book. Rules of Civility by Amor Towles.

Thanks for the book rec! Judging by its rating on goodreads, it seems that a lot of people agree with you. I'll definitely pick it up.

How does it work to climb with a baby in tow? Would both of you go camping, and take turns baby-sitting? Yeah, poor kid, indeed. He'll grow up loving the outdoors, hearing the story of every peak and ravine, and being more active than 99% of his peers. If only he could change places with a couch potato! :-)

We end up climbing with other partners, which can be great fun or it can be disappointing since we are each other's favorite climbing partners--closely matched in ability but with complementary strengths and weaknesses. We can boulder as a family, though.

I hope Baby Y will enjoy our adventure trips, although I'm prepared for a few to go awry. Remember those car trips when you tortured your parents with "Are we almost there yet?" I'm sure we'll hear something like that. : I

This book really sounds like fun. Adding to memories -- summer is a good chance to try reading some new things!

Rrgh, that's frustrating about the weather. Hope you get something better soon!

It's a good summer read because, although thought provoking, it's still light reading. I hope you enjoy it if you find the time for it!
