Dad's still in the hospital (has been for over a week already), and may be in another week.  Today is the anniversary of my grandpa's death; my dad was in the hospital that week, too (it was his dad).  In retrospect, what could I expect with all this similarity.  My grandma had a massive heart attack last night in Florida and died.  Earlier in the ( Read more... )

Dad was admitted to the hospital already this year... and he still has the wound he was admitted for LAST year.  Seems to happen every January like clock-work.  Sis is having medical issues and my aunt's pipes burst.  And it's January 2nd.

I saw MacBeth at the BAM on Saturday night.  Holy friggin' god was it good.  It's at the Lyceum on Broadway now for like 2 months... I recommend that everyone on the planet try to see it.  It was just phenomenal.

Had a great time with the sis, but i always am glad to get back to the "Second city"!

My dad got on the donor list in Indianapolis, which is great!  the wait there is like 1/3 of what is is here in Chicago, and they will count his time on the waiting list here.

I am also supposed to get my tax refund tomorrow.  So i can buy my plant tix to New York.  So excited to see MacBeth!  And see the sis, of course (not to mention meet the ( Read more... )

My dad's still in the hospital, but the surgeon looking after him seems hopeful that he can save his leg (again, sigh).

My grandpa died this afternoon.

Apparently my family doesn't do things by halves.
