Cheer up Sarah. I'm not wicked into the games. I probably won't even watch tonight. I don't have anything against the Red Socks, I just have something against getting bad grades! I have a lot of homework to do. Ha. I'm a dork.
I could not care less. I hear the cheers go up from the building as i'm reading/doinghomework/knitting/notwatching...and i think, "That's nice, but slightly ridiculous." so i'm with you on this one. -brie
I love the Red Sox, and I'm one of those people making lots of noise....and I understand that you just dont connect with it the same way that other people do...but, for alot of people, the red sox-yankees feud is classic good against evil. Its baseball, which is a sport that I love, but its a metaphor for more than that.
I grew up watching baseball and the Red Sox, but I usually avoid the madness.
I ran through the building last night simply because I thought it would be humorous to be loud during quiet hours and get away with it (not to mention the slight bit of alcohol I'd had urged me on).
Either way, I know how you feel. I see people flip out and sometimes I just think it's totally absurd. Unless it's something unsportsman-like, I see no reason to get up in arms about it. "Oh no, someone made a good play...let's hate them for it." That's just good athleticism which is what sports should be about.
Anyhow, chin up Sarah. And brace yourself for the World Series if it comes.
darling i LOVE the sox. and yes i am caught up in the madness. but of course my arugment is i get together with close friends to watch the games and we all have a grand ol time together rooting for our team. for me its a time to cheer on my absolute favorite team ever and hang out with the people i love the most.
