Through this morning, much has been said about the feeling of hope for the future of the United Methodist Church.  It gave me a great feeling.  However, today, the Church dropped the ball for, and on many people in the church, and those it excludes

Hey, I found you through a comment on Jim Perry's site. I too have been watching General Conference via the live feed and have found frustration with many of the same things. (The Bishop thing I think will never change because "experience" seems to be an important asset in the election of Bishops more than perhaps a calling by the Holy Spirit regardless of age....not saying that our Bishops aren't called by the Holy Spirit because I believe they are, but just saying I think that some rethinking could be in order
