We just dropped a Little Car full of clothes, books, and other house stuff off at the Sally Ann. Though our place doesn't actually look that much emptier, I feel like a thousand bucks. Now we have so much less to move!

Freecycle is your best friend when moving. It is astounding the kind of crap people will take, as long as it's free.

Agreed. I couldn't believe that there were people who would gleefully pick up--in the snow, no less--that old sofabed IKEA thing of mine.

I'm always dropping off books and VHS tapes (the ones I've replaced with DVDs) at the local library. I simply don't have the storage space to keep around a lot of random pack-rat type crap.

Yeah, I thought about freecycle, but with the amount of stuff we had (none of it big), listing it all would be way more work than taking it five blocks to the Sally Ann.
