I haven't updated in so long that I've been putting it off in search of a good way to break the ice, the way one would with an old friend that they've failed to keep in touch with.

Holidays are perfect for this kind of thing.

Tonight I went shopping by myself for school supplies, but I wasn't looking for anything necessary. I hate the ten seconds of panic that follow accidentally posting my private entry as public.

i wish she'd come and play like she used to,
loved to do the hula-hoop.
we're both in a different place.

Today was day one of freshman orientation at LSU. I have never felt more proud or accomplished or excited or nervous and I feel like just jumping into a lake and then picking up my student i.d. card and flying away and I love this ultra run-on sentence with all of my heart.
