just wanted to say, I had a beautiful independence day. it felt sort of visceral, the day had a pulse. and I could feel the spirit of the holiday. i ate a smart dog with baked beans and ketchup/mustard on top (propas to ramey) maybe the highlight was being on a secret dock for fireworks, with a spate of good friends. secret docks at night are

I tend to think that the only thing that keeps little areas like this appealing, at least for people like us, is the groups of people we find here, and the special relationships that are created with these people as a result of the area.
