Wow, 46! I'm impressed! That doesn't make you sad, that shows you know a quality story when you read one, and don't give up just because the language is hard or whatever. The rest of the world is rubbish for not having the ability to stick with things (and some of these are really easy reads, too, like Angels & Demons)!
I know most of the books in the list are meant to be good in some way or another; I personally get put off by the 'you should read Dickens because it's classic' thing. I'll get over it one day. I'm hoping to start reading more classic stuff at some point, possibly starting with Pride & Prejudice.
