I just had a completely unsolicited email from VDM publishing, a German publishing house, offering to publish my MA thesis on machines in antiquity, which is in the vein of their current publications, apparently.
Mental.

Eclipse starts at 09.30am (i.e. it just started) and peaks at 10.13am.
For some reason, the UK's own Nautical Almanac Office didn't think to correct for BST.
*sigh*

It seems that, after death, Karl Marx has been setting up home for, as he put it, "motherless babies" in Benin. At least, that's what the email he sent me today said.
