[hey, look, it's that weird kid and his even weirder giant black foxmonster. they both look pretty excited to be out and about now. N's pokémon is off doing its own thing in the distance, rolling in the grass and enjoying the fresh air, and his master is just as occupied with his fistful of flowers as he wanders after the creature slowly, admiring the trees and the birdies and the clouds with awe and wonder all the while.]

[ And now we have this tall blueberry wandering around in the vicinity, taking in the scenery but still keeping their objective in mind. The sight of that Zoroark does earn him a curious look, however, so Homare's keeping himself at a respectful distance so as not to disturb the unfamiliar creature. ] I wonder what she meant, by the strange house.

[when he turns around to smile in greeting, the first thing he notices is this damn this guy is tall. N's pretty tall himself and hangs out with a bunch of short little brats in his homeworld so spotting another tall person who isn't his god awful dad... oh, this makes him very happy.

but right. he turns around, greeting homare with a smile.]

Oh, yes, that's right. It nearly slipped my mind.

[typical pisces, forgetting shit they don't care about.]

I was just so fascinated with the scenery. It's so beautiful and unlike anything I have ever seen before.

That's true. [ And he's taking in that delicious wind. ] This is a kind of place that can put your mind at rest. [ Or at the very least, distract him from scandalous god-given dreams. ]

[as he stoops to pick up another flower--]

It does have that tranquil feel to it, doesn't it? I love being outside and watching the world in its natural state. There are so many different lifeforms, and yet everything manages to coexist in a formulaic manner in one beautiful ecosystem...

[skanky dreams from disgruntled gods are the least of his worries right now. gee, aren't the leaves on this tree just grand??!!]

Mm, it really does. [ And looking around him-- ] The plant life here is a lot more...extravagant than back home. [ He's more used to austere art forms, though he can definitely appreciate nature at her gaudiest. ]

Isn't it?

[he picks one of the flowers he's holding with his free hand-- a rather large gloriosa lily (not that he knows that), and offers it to homare.]

I'm especially fond of the flowers. They were not in the blooming season in my world so I have never seen them before.

[ He accepts the flower. ] Thank you. [ Quite a showy flower, he thinks, but it's got a charm that's all its own. Takes all kinds to make up nature, and all kinds to comprise the zodiac, after all.

He looks up at the trees wistfully. Spring is ending, back home. ] Really? Then it's just as well that we can see them here. I missed the cherry blossoms back home.

You are welcome.

[he takes a moment to look at the other flowers he had gathered along his way, a distant smile tugging at his face as he remembers his homeland.]

I don't believe we had cherry blossoms where I am from.

[soon, he snaps out of his nostalgia before giving his head a light tilt.]

At what time of the year do they typically bloom?

They usually bloom in spring. [ He smiles at the thought. ] We usually hold viewing parties, under the trees.

Is that so? It sounds lovely. I wonder if we hold similar customs in my world...

[he says this rather absently before glancing to and fro in search of more flowers. he returns his gaze to homare when he regards him, though.]

Would you mind telling me what these viewing parties are like?

[ And he'll be like an old man and wax philosophical on the beauty of transience and all that good stuff if N keeps him going. ] We'd hold picnics and tea ceremonies under the trees, and watch them as they blossom, or are blown away in clouds by the wind.

[N is definitely a listener before he's a talker so this might work well for them. the awe on his face is genuine as he imagines this for a moment, trying to craft together an image of blossoms in the wind and being surrounded by friends as homare says.]

That sounds wonderful. I hope we have similar things here, I would love to attend a party like that. And you would attend this with your friends and loved ones, or was this a community event?

[ Hey, he'll only talk if there's a point to it, and Japanese customs and traditions are srs bznz! B|b ]

Having a flower viewing party here would be nice, yes. [ It doesn't even have to be cherry blossoms. ] I attend it with friends and family, but generally speaking, there will be plenty of parties gathered among the trees, so it's a community and family event at once.

[N, being the precious and sheltered little thing that he is, doesn't know much about the world around him, so listening to homare would be a delight to him u////u]

That does sound wonderful. I don't believe I saw anything similar to such a thing in my world, but I think it's something the people would enjoy. I hope we can practice such things here in Zodion as well.

[ *////* They totally need to talk more. During a flower viewing party. ]

It would be wonderful, I agree. [ And it would remind him of home. ] They have plenty enough flowers here for that.
