Silas spent a good portion of today practicing his walking. His crawl is still the faster, more efficient method of movement, but he's getting more proficient every day.

11 months old tomorrow. I can't believe it. I'm going to miss his crawling.

After school lets out in June, we are going to Arizona to visit my family for two weeks. Tim is coming along this time. Some of you may recall the last time we went, Tim allowed his family to choose a day for us to do whatever they wanted with them. On being asked what he wanted as a reward for getting a perfect score on his spelling test:
"I just want your love."
Seriously, this kid. He wasn't even being a smart-ass about it.
Kid Sarah would have asked for money and Kid Tim would have wanted a gallon of ice cream.
Tim doesn't understand how we managed to raise a Paladin.

What I made for dinner: roasted lemon/thyme chicken and potato/kale casserole. Also roasted a sweet potato but wasn't hungry by the time it was done. And chocolate walnut cookies for dessert ( Read more... )

It occurs to me now that I don't have friends who have babies and I am going to have to do the "finding your tribe" thing all over again. How tedious. I don't wanna do Gymboree!!!

Silas resembles infant Henry to such a disconcerting degree. I keep flipping through Henry's baby pics to compare their features and expressions and it's a little freaky.
