Spilled a little coffee on the keyboard this morning ... I wasn't too worried, since I'd heard it was nearly impossible to damage a Model M with a liquid spill ... it'd basically have to somehow get up inside the little "tube" the keys are sitting on to short out anything. Could be worse, I spilled water and cola in a week time over my laptop. Amazingly it still worked for a long time after that. But it could have very well ment the end of the whole thing.

My epic coffee spill on the Mac was very similar. It started off okay, then by the middle of the day the keyboard was completely shot. We cleaned it all out but it was a lost cause. I had to get the whole thing replaced. Luckily I did the spill at work so they covered the cost of the new keyboard.
