Here's the new mix that I mentioned a couple of posts ago. Back when this was in the planning stages, I came across a great new feature at Pitchfork called the Infinite Mix Tape, in which they post the best new singles that they've come across. look forward to hearing this. i'm guessing #5 the song is Thursday, not the band? That band (the one named for a day of the week) seems to be getting some buzz lately but I haven't heard them yet. -jenn

You are correct. The band (Asobi Seksu)is a shoegaze-ish kind of band with a Japanese chick singer.

I'm *really* curious about the Grant Lee Phillips version of "Wave of Mutilation." I downloaded the ones I could - looks like there's an error on the Ladytron song...

I don't think so, unfortunately. Maybe Christmas again? Mom is coming to visit on Thursday, and as much I love coming home to see everyone, I need a real vacation - preferably something involving beaches and beer.
