I was in the local supermarket yesterday searching for something cheap and tasty for tea.......I could hear some screaming and yelling...it was quite nasty shouting and I was stunned to see that it was a mother shouting at 2 children, one about 5 yrs, the other 7 at the oldest. The reason for the scremaing? The kids couldnt decide what flavour ( Read more... )

How delightful! Makes you proud doesn't it, why have kids if you are going to treat them like that.

You're making the assumption that they "chose" to have kids, I'm sure that most of them round my way haven't actually worked out the connection between bringing a random bloke home from the pub, and giving birth ;)

It makes me sick to hear the way I hear people talking to their kids. I don't swear around children, and i'm generally Mr. Sweary, surely a bit of restraint wouldn't be too much.

I know what you mean, i've just come back from tescos myself, had a similar experience, some ugly chavmum tried to have a go at me for pushing my trolley between her and her kid (who was being very loud and out of control), I kindly pointed out that Her kid was her responsibility and not mine. She swore at me, and then took it out on the kid. It appears that these people have absolutely no idea how to care for kids and yet continue to drop them like theres no tomorrow.
And why are they all called India or Destiny?
Grrrr, I'm off to argue with the hospital again.

Kx

I am frankly disgusted at the way people treat their children at present - especially those who feel the need to pick the child up by its arm to get it to move (this I have seen on more than one occasion). Although I also think that all good parenting skills have gone out of the window (that saying "children should be seen and not heard" sounds like a very good thing that most parents don't understand.)

People who can't look after their children should have them removed from them. And people who would make great parents should be allowed the opportunity to adopt children. Isn't it simple when it's written like that? Why is it so difficult to put into practice?
