quiet weekend myself. bit of boozing and some socialising but nothing major.
Neurologist appointments, now there i have some experience (seen many of them in the last 6 years or so), Is it your first appt? (prob silly question as you wouldn't be asking what its like), firstly they're just a consultation, as the equipment they use for tests are complex and need booking in advance. Lots of rubber hammer reflex tests and pin prodding and tickling to see what feeling is affected. Lots of pushing and pulling to see if muscle action is affected too, (try not to laugh if he says "pull my finger"). They then arrange for scans (usually MRI) or nerve conductivity tests (little electric pulses to see if nerves are working properly, these don't hurt at all, if you were worrying). Nothing to worry about at all sweetie. Hope that was at least a little help. Good luck with it. Kx
Hope your appointment goes o.k. The neurologist I saw in brighton was a lovely Australian guy and was the first person I'd seen who made me feel that he couldn't take enough time and trouble to try and find out what was wrong with me, so I hope your experience is as good. I heard that it's your birthday this week, just incase I don't get back online before, hope you have a great day.
Hey!......appointment was ok. Not overly helpful though. it seems it my be my HRT causing the severe headaches, but they cant state that catergorically. He recommended some headache pill type things and told me stop taking so many painkillers. I take a lot for the pain I get from bowel adhesions. So, yeah, I am not dying, i dont have a brain tumour...hurrah! xx
We had a quiet one as well, it's cos it's payday this week (yay! food!).
Totally off topic... but you pointed me in the direction of some sort of Brighton scene site a while ago - can you point me in that direction again please? I appear to have got lost!
